The DTO structure is a reasonable starting point, but the implementation is incomplete: both service methods are stubs, making the controller behavior misleading. Validation, persistence, transaction boundaries, inventory handling, authorization, and error responses should be added before merging. The endpoint should not report successful creation when no order is actually created. ๐ง
๐จ `OrderService.placeOrder()` and `getAllOrderResponses()` return `null`, so the new endpoints do not function and may return `201`/`200` with null bodies. Implement the service logic or avoid exposing these endpoints until ready.
๐ก๏ธ Add request validation (`@Valid`, `@NotBlank`, `@Email`, `@NotEmpty`, positive product IDs and quantities) and return a clear `400 Bad Request` for invalid orders.
๐ `/api/orders` currently exposes all orders without authentication or customer scoping. Add authorization and pagination/filtering before production use.
๐ฐ Implement transactional order creation with product lookup, stock validation, price snapshots, total calculation, and persistence. Do not trust client-supplied prices (currently none are supplied, which is good).
